Do you have to do that where I can see!!!

So it's been 2 weeks since my last confession.................. ok maybe a little longer. But I did have a lovely bout of Swine Flu or Flu Like Illness as it has become known so the figures can be botched.

I basically did nothing but sleep for 6 days then after that I managed to get out of bed and potter around for a while before I fell asleep again before finally going back to work on Friday of last week - rubbish day to go back to work too lol.
So work is work - no point talking about it because it is what is is - hell!

While I was on my sick bed my dear hubby decided what he would like for his birthday in March and because there was a bargain on Gumtree I gave him the money and we now have a new addition to the family - well 2 new additions but I will get to that.

First came Eddie - the bearded dragon - also with him was his vivarium. Well basically his whole set up because his previous owner couldn't look after him anymore. So we settled Eddie in and I have to say he is very friendly and loves to be out and about scooting around the living room or being held or having a bath.

So after a week of Eddie, hubby (and I have to admit I agreed) decided the vivarium was too small so we went out and got a larger one, Eddie loved the space but now it looked like he was lonely so hubby scouted around Gumtree again and came across someone selling a female dragon for a reasonable price - on Monday Sophie moved in. Eddie is in dragon love! I'm not sure who is the boss yet because so far she is giving as good as she gets - go Sophie.

Sophie is a citrus morph dragon and is very pale compared to Eddie, she is also smaller and very cool, calm and collected. She loves to be sat on your shoulder and will sit there without moving for what seems like hours! No racing around the floor like a wind up toy gone crazy for her!

Saying that Eddie has just done his 10 laps around the living room at lightening speed only stopping at the fake fire to have a fight with his reflection whist Sophie had a gentle stroll around watching him behave like a hooligan. The only problem now is the mating behaviour that is going on in the living room - my idea of fun does not included watching two horny bearded dragons get ready to mate! Do you have to do that where someone can see you?

The Slimming World plan seems to be going well and so far I have lost 6.5lbs so I can't complain. I am finding it pretty easy this time around, in fact, probably easier than the last time because I don't have to eat quorn instead of meat!

I sent my lovely nephew his birthday card for the 27th Jan and yesterday I finished off the cards I had started for his middle son and his partner for their birthdays in February and also sent a card to my friend back home in England as it's her birthday this weekend - she is of course 21 - again. That all went via Royal Mail today so will hopefully get there very quickly.

Nothing exciting is happening but there are plenty more cards to make over the coming weeks as there are a whole heap of birthdays in March, mine included although I won't be making a card for myself! Although this birthday will be a little more special as my mum and Alan will be here - I can't wait for that :-)
I am lucky enough to have a lovely family, just the 1 brother who is quite a bit older then me and he and his wife have 2 grown up boys who I used to drag around the countryside every Friday until they were in school. By then I myself was about to get married and move. Now these lovely boys are both grown up with families of their own and I adore my great niece Tia and 3 beautiful great nephews Mitchell, Ethan and Kristian. I am lucky enough to have a great relationship with my nephews and now with their partners too - it's just a shame I live so far away and I don't get to see the kids as often as I would like. Had I lived in England like I used to I probably would have been at my family home most weekends - as it is I have to made do with holidays home and I have to say facebook is damn good at keeping me in touch with the family. I miss them all so much and love them all to bits!
So that is the end of my memoirs for this evening and hopefully it won't be nearly 3 weeks until the next thrilling installment!
